MASSAMBA DIOP treated us to another suprise at his house on the last day of our visit. He has formed his own band now, in addition to playing with Baaba Maal and working with Tony, and they played for all of us that night. The players in the band were MASSAMBA and two other rockin' tama players, Massamba's brother, ABDOULIYE DIOP playing the harmonica and percussion, and NDONGO DIOP playing sabar and djembe.
