Mystery Question 3 - Answer

 

Those would be toothbrushes, of course. The people in Senegal use sticks from special trees that have enzymes that clean the teeth. Before they use the stick, they peel the bark off the top inch or so, then chew the end until it looks like toothbrush bristles. They use that split end of the stick then to clean their teeth. It works great!
