Arts Are Essential, Inc. is excited to announce our collaboration with Tony Vacca and Massamba Diop in the 2005-2006 Senegal-America Project. We are a 501c3 incorporated and registered in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Our Mission Statement:  “Arts Are Essential works in partnership with educators and artists to bring arts experiences that enrich, educate and enlighten students of all ages while inspiring creativity and imagination.

Guiding Principles:
Arts Are Essential is committed to the belief that through performances, concerts, hands-on workshops, residencies and cultural exchanges, the visual and performing arts can:

  1. Accommodate many learning styles
  2. Adapt to demonstrate and teach varied curricula, including language arts, math, science and social studies
  3. Offer cultural awareness, which encourages acceptance”.

Our beliefs are that everything can be taught through the arts and that through cultural exchanges such as the Senegal-America Project that we reach awareness and acceptance. The world is a small place and we all belong.

All contributions or donations made to Arts Are Essential, Inc. for the Senegal-America Project are tax-deductible and will be used only for Senegal-America expenses. If you or someone you know would like to support our artistic, educational, or cultural travels with artists, educators and students from the US to Senegal and from Senegal to the US, please contact Jean Butler, President and Founder of Arts-Are Essential, Inc.
